Multimedia Journalism, Emphasis

B.A. in Journalism with an emphasis in multimedia Journalism

Develop interviewing, reporting, editing, and writing skills for different media on multiple platforms. Learn how to find, research, investigate, and pitch news stories. With an emphasis in Multimedia Journalism, students learn to write, edit, and design news in multiple media formats using the latest equipment and software, including Adobe Creative Suite. Students use those skills and gain hands-on experience by working for student media, including The Parthenon, Marshall’s student newspaper and online news source, and The Kelly, Marshall’s student-run magazine, and JMC-TV programs that are produced in the school’s television studio. The Multimedia Journalism major prepares students for careers in all types of news and storytelling media.
