Comprehensive coverage at the introductory level of obstetrics & gynecology (in the Kellogg curriculum). The reduction in credit from the standard clerkship to accommodate Kellogg schedule.
Independent Study in Obstetrics/Gynecology is desinged to allow the student opportunity to work with a faculty member on a topic of special interest.
Fourth year elective designed to expand on the knowledge base and information gathering and clinical reasoning skills that were introduced in the third year clerkship.
The course is designed to help enhance the learners understanding of race and equity in the provision of medical care, especially as it relates to obstetrics and gynecology.
This course was created to permit the student to create an Obstetrics and Gynecology research experience to meet individual study and/or career interest needs.
Year IV Subinternship in Obstetrics four week duration.
To provide the principles of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, going beyond a basic discourse in obstetrics and provide sophisticated material in the clinical and basic sciences of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Pre-req: OBG 710.
This elective is designed for students who anticipate residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery or Oncologic subspecialties. Interest in operating room involvement and patient care an absolute requirement.
Clinical course to allow students to complete clinical training at approved sites within the State of West Virginia that is no a MUSOM site.
Out-of-State Externship
Acquaints students with issues of rural community health and wellness. Provides students with knowledge, attitudes and skills to participate in a changing health care environment.
