This special topics in medicine course will provide the student with a better understanding of a selected topic of study.
Comprehensive coverage at the introductory level of internal medicine (in the Kellogg curriculum). The reduction in credit from the standard clerkship is to accommodate Kellogg curriculum.

Independent study in Medicine is designed to allow the student the opportunity to work with a faculty member on a topic of special interest.
This MS IV course will cover necessary skills in epidemiology used in clinical practice for both interpretation of the medical literature and application to patient care.
This elective will provide medical students with the opportunity to learn about the day to day functions of a variety of non physician health care providers by shadowing a member of a different discipline each day.

Students will learn what Point of Care Ultrasound is and how to use it in patient care. They will have the option to receive POCUS certification at the end of the course.
This elective for fourth year medical students provides a structured clinical experience in the field of academic hospital medicine. It is designed to be a well supervised and personalized educational experience that will serve to improve and build upon those cognitive and technical clinical skills already attained during the junior medicine clerkshop. Through this elective, the student will learn the clinical skills and attitudes essential to the practice of hospital medicine and the delivery of the highest quality patient care.

It is designed to be a well supervised educational experience that will serve to improve and build upon those cognitive and technical clinical skills already attained during the junior cleckships. Through this elective, the student will learn the clinical skills and attitudes essential to the practice of General Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

Clinical course to allow students to complete clinical training at approved sites within the State of West Virginia that is no a MUSOM site.
Acquaints students with issues of rural community health and wellness. Provides students with knowledge, attitudes and skills to participate in a changine health care environment.
