Program Requirements
Students interested in pursuing a degree in either computer science or Computer and Information Technology who have a minimum composite ACT score of 19 and Math ACT scores of 19-23 (SAT composite 990; Math 510-560), will be admitted into Pre-Computer Science until all of the following minimum requirements are met:
- Earned 12 credit hours of college-level coursework;
- Maintenance of Good Academic Standing;
- Completion of MTH 127 College Algebra-Expanded/MTH 130 College Algebra (or equivalent) with a grade of C;

Transfer Students
Students transferring into Computer Science or Computer and Information Technology must either meet program test score requirements or complete the listed requirements above for Pre-Computer Science majors. Once all the preceding requirements have been met, students will be transferred to their desired major.
Students transferring into CECS with 60 or more earned CH of coursework who do not meet the admission requirements for Computer Science or Computer and Information Technology may be admitted into their desired program on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the program’s department chair.
