Social Work in Healthcare, Certificate
Admission Requirements
This certificate program will be able to develop a better understanding of the myriad theoretical and practice concepts related to healthcare provisions across a variety of health-related settings. Students will also gain a comprehensive understanding of the role of social work in supporting healthcare professionals and patients. This certificate program will enable students to identify and strengthen their understanding of the vital role social workers have in assisting patients to understand the biopsychosocial approach in healthcare settings.
Graduation Requirements
The Social Work in Healthcare Certificate enables students to develop a better understanding of theoretical frameworks and social work practice concepts related to healthcare provision through a comprehensive approach to the role of social work in supporting healthcare professionals and patients across a variety of health-related settings. Upon completions, certificate participants will have a comprehensive understanding of the vital role social workers have in patient and health care professionals teams in providing a biopsychosocial, integrated approach to patient care in healthcare settings.
